CLIMB GRADIENT TABLE |
In order to assure obstacle clearance, controlled airspace containment or safe integration of procedures, some Standard Instrument Departure Procedures in the UK require Climb Gradients in excess of 3.3% to be achieved. Procedure design Gradients are annotated as percentage climb gradients where necessary. The Table below provides a conversion to rates of climb for various speeds.
